JOB REQUIREMENTS: Duties: Set-up and operate computer controlled machines to perform one or more machine functions on various work pieces Machining a variety of materials compliant with the engineered drawings Ability to stay on track to maximize work flow. Maintain high quality level work, while maintaining work area, machines and tools. Great communication skills. Calculate dimensions or tolerances, using instruments, such as micrometers or vernier calipers. Machine parts to specifications, using machine tools, such as lathes, milling machines, shapers, or grinders. Measure, examine, or test completed units to check for defects and ensure conformance to specifications, using precision instruments, such as micrometers. Set up, adjust, or operate basic or specialized machine tools used to perform precision machining operations. ***** OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: equirements: High school diploma or equivalency and three to five years-experience in a manufacturing environment or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Set-up experience required and ability to read blueprints. Must be able to lift 50 pounds without assistance. Knowledge of machining and understanding of tooling and grades. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required communicate with others.. The employee is frequently required to sit; use hands to finger, feel or handle objects, tools or controls; and reach with hands or arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl.
