JOB REQUIREMENTS: Position Description: Purpose Under general supervision, assist in various administrative and data collection aspects of clinical research studies. Primary Functions * Support the research coordinators, research manager, and research principal investigators in the Neurology Dept - Child Neurology. * Assist research coordinators with study visits, including assembling visit-specific specimen collection kits, shipment boxes, preparing case report forms for study visits, and escorting research subjects from one location to the next within the hospital. * Collect required data from study coordinators and enter onto clinical research forms and into computerized databases, respond to queries in databases and work with research coordinators and principal investigators to resolve. * Under the direction of the study coordinator or principal investigator, assist in enrolling patients in databank, registries, and non-intervention research studies. Contact patients as required after initial contact to obtain additional information * Provide general clerical support to research coordinators, research manager, and investigators * Organize study participant charts and files and distribute to appropriate location (both paper and electronic records). * Organize study regulatory files (both paper and electronic records). * Assist in the creation and maintenance of electronic regulatory files systems. * Order and maintain study logs, including Training Logs, Delegation of Authority Logs, Payment/Stipend Logs * Compile outreach packets, recruitment and specimen collection kits * Assist research coordinators in verifying accuracy of bills and stipends * Generate letters to be sent to study participants Knowledge - Skills - Abilities Knowledge of biology, chemistry, mathematics, documentation, and records management. Data utilization, complex problem solving, critical thinking, resource management, and writing skills.
