Description

We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Bilingual Universal Banker in our Credit Union based in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. This role primarily involves managing consumer loan processes, promoting credit union products based on customer needs, and providing superior customer service.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the consumer loan process from initiation to closing.

• Interview loan applicants, prepare applications, and troubleshoot any issues that may arise.

• Provide timely, accurate disclosures to members and prepare files for processing and underwriting.

• Work with customers to meet their financial service needs.

• Promote credit union products and services based on customer's needs.

• Process share deposit payments, loan payments, CD and lines of credit transactions.

• Disburse cash and check withdrawals and balance cash drawer daily.

• Handle Vault Teller responsibilities and balance ATM daily.

• Initiate conversations to suggest new products and services.

• Participate in Credit Union outreach events and adhere to general regulatory procedures.

Requirements • Minimum of three years of experience in a customer service role, preferably within the non-profit sector.

• Proven expertise in providing superior customer service.

• Familiarity with banking operations and daily banking activities.

• Proficient in cash handling and maintaining accurate financial records.

• Strong proficiency in MS Office suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

• Ability to handle customer queries and complaints effectively and professionally.

• Willingness to work collaboratively in a team environment.

• Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning and professional development.

• Adherence to the organization's mission and values.
