The Department of Neurology is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to support the Epilepsy Monitoring Unit. We offer the most advanced diagnosis and treatment options for various neurological and neurosurgical conditions, including highly sophisticated neuroimaging capabilities and minimally invasive surgical options. The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) works as a member of a multidisciplinary health care team who will contribute to excellence in program administration, patient care, patient safety, research, quality improvement, and teaching. The Ideal Candidate will be a Pediatric Neurological experienced APP wanting to be part of a thriving and very collaborative academic practice at the Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW). Areas of responsibility will include, but not be limited to providing direct patient care to Pediatric patients in an inpatient setting. In this role you will, Collaborates with interdisciplinary health care teams in diagnosis and treatment of epilepsy and related neurological disorders in inpatient environment as a member of the Neurosciences epilepsy monitoring unit team. Writes accurate and timely H&Ps, progress notes, discharge notes, and/or admission, discharge, and transfer orders. Order, perform, and interpret screening and diagnostic procedures and tests, and appropriately communicates and documents information.
