JOB REQUIREMENTS: 1st Shift Monday-Friday 8am-4:30pm (Hours may vary) Pay Rate: \$18-\$23 p/hr Based on Experience Summary: The Accounts Payable Specialist (APS) is responsible for the meticulous calculation, processing, posting, verification, and maintenance of invoices, data, and payments. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Process invoices from vendors and initiate payments. Analyze vendor accounts, negotiating extended terms when cash is restricted, and prepare necessary analyses. Assist in monthly closings. Support expense report reconciliation and processing for payment. Identify and resolve problems, inconsistencies, and recommend corrective procedures. Communicate and coordinate accounting policies, practices, and procedures with employees, customers, and relevant stakeholders. May provide backup for the receptionist during lunch or breaks. Check figures, postings, and documents for correct entry, mathematical accuracy, and proper codes. Comply with federal, state, and company policies, procedures, and regulations. ***** OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: Qualifications: Education and/or Experience: Associate\'s degree; at least three years of related accounts payable experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Language Skills: Ability to read, interpret documents, and write routine reports and correspondence. Mathematical Skills: Ability to calculate figures and amounts, apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry. Reasoning Ability: Apply common sense, deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Computer Skills: Proficiency with Enterprise Resource Planning software and mastery of MS Office. Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk, hear, walk, stand, sit, use hands, fingers, reach, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
