Assigned Account Manager is responsible for all Parker product (MSG, FCG, ING, PFG) sales including distribution sales, Parker Canada direct sales and U.S. Parker Division direct sales at assigned accounts. Accountable for maintaining / increasing sales volume and margin with existing and new assigned accounts. Responsible for creating detailed strategic account growth plans, and execution of those plans. Actively support the corporation's Wins Strategy.

  • Develops and maintains a strong of understanding of assigned accounts and the markets in which they compete. Maintains excellent client relationships and works to become a trusted adviser in their business.

  • Ensures Parker products are specified to maintain and increase revenue by prioritizing the opportunities on an account-by-account basis to obtain optimum sales and margin results. Utilizes the Value Management tools to document and present Value Propositions.

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive technical knowledge of group/divisional products, applications, features, advantages, and benefits. Keeps up with internal and external training and development.

  • Obtain specifications and approvals at engineering firms, major accounts and/or distributors assigned to develop increased sales opportunities and margins.

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive knowledge of competitive products and their activity in the marketplace and provide reports, on a regular and/or monthly basis.

  • Assist the divisions in planning strategy to provide the products and service required for their assigned accounts. Actively support cross divisional and other group product with proper referral.

  • Provide product/application training at assigned accounts. Assist in the conversion of competitive accounts to Parker.

  • Works closely with Parker Global Market facing teams for relevant markets (Defense, Forestry, etc.). Also works closely with Parker Canada business development team to identify future business opportunities

  • Provide premier customer service

    · Must be self-motivated and able to independently research pertinent information

    · Excellent problem-solving capabilities

    · Excellent communication and persuasive skills required in a multi-task environment.

    · Remote Sales role with combination of virtual and in person, travel 40%-60% in Canada and US.

    · Post-secondary degree in Business, Engineering, or a related technical discipline with a minimum of 3 years in direct and/or distributor sales of industrial technical products.

    · Excellent mechanical comprehension with the ability to understand, describe and/or discuss problems of a technical nature.

    · Strong understanding of Value Selling approach with ability to document and present customer value propositions.

    · Must have proven track record of exceeds plus experience.
