Job Summary

SHI is looking for an Ethics&ComplianceOfficerto jointhe HR Strategy Team. Theywillbe responsible foroverseeingSHI’s operational processes and proceduresin countries where SHI conducts business (outside of the United States). Their dutywillbe toserve asSHI’s internal control point formaintainingTheSHI’sCode of Ethics and Business Conductandcommunicating/promotingapplicable organization compliancetrainings.The Ethics&Compliance Officer will also provideleadership advice on corporate governance issues across all SHIInternationalbusiness segments.

This position will report to theSr.Directorof Strategic Initiativeswithin the Human Resources department. Thelocationof this position will bedetermined by SHI management.

Responsibilities

Include, but not limited to :

  • Monitorsoperational processesand procedures, ensuring the companycomplies withlegal regulations and ethical standards.

  • Managesinformation flow by researching,recording,and analyzing data and information.

  • Engaging with legalconsultantsandthird parties to confirmandestablishbest practicesincountrieswhereSHI conducts business.

  • Conductscompliance risk assessments todeterminepoliciesremaincompliant and business runs smoothly.

  • With oversight from SHI Legal developsandmaintainscorporate ethics statements, policies and supporting forms/acknowledgements.

  • Provides internal reviews of SHI policies to ensure consistency and integration with the organization’s ethicsphilosophies.

  • Overseesthe development and implementation of corporate ethics and conflicttraining.

  • Worksindependently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams to support delivery and administration ofethics and conflicttraining.

  • With guidance fromlegal counsel, conducts annual corporate governance audits todeterminethe state of the organization and presents findings to seniorleadership.

  • Develops andmaintainsconfidential procedures for the handling,processingand investigationsof complaints andallegations.

  • Maintains an up-to-date knowledge and understanding of corporate governance requirements, compliance and reporting responsibilities, and related legal benchmarks from federal and statelaw.

  • Collaborate and engage in understanding of EnvironmentSocialGovernancereporting requirements toobtain and support international qualifications.

  • Performs other HR related duties as assigned byleadership.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field required

  • 4+ years’ related experience in Ethics and Compliance or Risk Management

  • Current human resource and/or compensation credentials or certification preferred

Required Skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong data analytical and critical thinking skills

  • Ability to comprehend, interpret and apply the appropriate sections of applicable laws, guidelines, regulations, ordinances and policies

  • Proactive, collaborative, diplomatic and able to balance multiple, contending initiatives and deadlines simultaneously

  • Strategic planning abilities to design and develop business goals, in line with company initiatives

  • Ability to work both independently and within a team environment

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
