AWS Business Intelligence Specialist – 3 month contract

We have recently won a new premium OEM contract & are looking for someone to join our connected services team for a fixed term & accelerate the design and build of a modern data warehouse & ETL solution to support a near real-time reporting system, using AWS tools.

If you are experienced (3+ years) in Data Analytics and Business Intelligence in AWS, along with using Glue, Athena, Redshift, CloudFormation and have been successful in building ETL workflows, and can start immediately , Apply Today !!
We want you to join the team and work closely with them in our Teletrac Navman office, so you will be living within a sensible commuting distance of Milton Keynes.

In this exciting role you will join our Connected Services team and work with the stakeholders to design the reports and business analytics they require.
You will be key in providing insights to the management team to measure the performance of the system and identify problems in business operations.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:
Currently, our data is stored in an AWS S3 Data Lake and DynamoDB. You’ll work with the Development Team to design and build a modern data warehouse and ETL solution to support a near-real-time reporting system, using AWS tools.
You’ll participate in Sprint Planning, Scrums, Reviews & Retrospectives. As part of an Agile team, activities may also include demonstrating features to stakeholders, negotiating with the Product Owner, estimating User Stories.
Your responsibilities will include:
Designing, building, maintaining, and documenting a cost-effective data-source for reports in AWS.
Building ETL processes.
Working with Stakeholders to understand the requirements of the structure of the reports.
Working with the Development Team and DevOps to integrate the solution into the existing AWS processes.
Full participation in and adherence to the Agile Scrum process.
Committing to product quality, particularly by means of code reviews, implementation of unit tests and QA test execution where required.
Identifying and handling technical risks and issues.
ABOUT YOU
You’ll have experience of joining a team for a short-term contract, with the ability to commence working on the requirements straightaway.
As member of the Agile Scrum team, a strong, self-motivated work ethic is essential, as well as good interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively within a team structure.
The AWS Business Intelligence Specialist role is office based, so you will be living within a sensible commuting distance of Milton Keynes.
What we see as critical for you to succeed:
3+ Years’ experience in Data Analytics and Business Intelligence in AWS
Excellent numerical, analytical, and written skills, with the ability to adopt a logical approach to solving problems. Must have professional rigour and attention to detail.
Experienced in using AWS, especially: Glue, Athena, Redshift, CloudFormation
Highly experienced in building ETL workflows
Experienced in data lake/data warehouse architecture
Batchelor’s Degree (or Equivalent) in Data Science or related mathematical disciplines
Desirable:
AWS Certified Data Analytics – Speciality Certification
