Defense Commissary Agency Store Worker in Milton, Florida

Responsibilities Serves as the Store Worker in a Defense Commissary Agency (DeCA) location. The primary purpose of this position is to work in an assigned department within the store (e.g., grocery, produce, meat, etc.), but may also perform rotational assignments within all departments. Position responsibilities include: Maintain adequate stock of resale items. Identify any obvious spoilage, damage, and out-of-date merchandise. Receive, supplies, equipment and resale items. Operate a computer system that calculates and marks prices, and determines weights of merchandise. Transport items to shelving and display areas. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Examples of qualifying experience: Ensuring the proper care and handling of resale grocery items. Locating items for customers. Rotating stock, stacking containers and participating in inventories. Operating a computer system to calculate prices and label merchandise. Arranging stock on shelves and in displays. By the announcement closing date current civilian employees must have completed at least 90 days of federal civilian service since their latest non-temporary appointment from a competitive referral certificate, known as time after competitive appointment. For this requirement, a competitive appointment is one where you applied to and were appointed from an announcement open to "All US Citizens." Education You may not use education to qualify. Additional Information Applicants with a Permanent Resident Card (aka Green Card) are authorized to live and work in the U.S. but are not eligible for employment in positions requiring U.S. citizenship.
