The Opportunity

A senior DevOps engineer experienced in DevOps practices and frameworks. These include but not limited to Infrastructure as Code, Platform as Code, CI/CD practices, Automation and Monitoring. Must haves for this role, experience in AWS, Terraform, GitOps frameworks. #software

Main Responsibilities

  • Work independently to improve the infrastructure for BigFoot cloud hosted in AWS.

  • Work on implementing CI/CD practices using GitOps framework. Experience in Flux or Argo CD is preferable.

  • Ability to implement Infrastructure as Code in Terraform

  • Experience in other CI/CD technologies such as Jenkins ( Groovy Pipelines ) preferable

  • Experience implementing Monitoring technologies like Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog

  • Experience in building automation tools with python or any other scripting language

  • Ability to work with other DevOps engineers and present ideas fluently and confidently

  • Liaison with developers, project managers and other stake holders and get requirements and also present ideas.

  • We are a medical device company and our documentation requirements are a must. Must be comfortable at that.

  • Good communication skills.

Required Qualifications

B.S. in Computer Science,similar engineering discipline, or equivalent experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience in a DevOps or Platform Engineering role

  • Moderate knowledge in modern programming languages such as Java or Python & Agile methodologies

  • Moderate level of understanding of test-driven methodologies

  • Moderate level of knowledge with continuous integration & continuous development (CI/CD)

  • Demonstrated success in technical proficiency, creativity, and independent thought

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Moderate level understanding of design patterns

  • Strong analytical & problem-solving skills

  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize responsibilities

The base pay for this position is $83,600.00 – $167,200.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
