Production Test Technician II

The Electronic Technician will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and refurbishing service part inventory. This position plays a key role in maintaining high quality standards and driving production efficiencies to meet customer service demands and expectations.

Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshooting and repair of electronic and mechanical components

  • Assemble multiple electronic components into complete assemblies

  • Maintain production efficiency and product quality in accordance with organizational goals

  • Process work orders in SAP

  • Provides feedback on failure analysis

  • Make recommendations on product and quality improvements and drive process cost reductions

  • Maintain WIP inventory in accordance with organizational goals

  • Provide feedback and corrective actions on inventory discrepancies

  • Provide recommendations for additional tools, documentation, software, hardware, test fixtures and equipment

  • Execute operational improvements identified by ECO changes and product quality

  • Provide technical assistance to cross-functional teams like HW/SW/MFG Engineering, SQE, SBE

  • Repair and maintain production test stations

  • Provide on the job training on assembly process as required

  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment

Required Knowledge and Skills:

  • Excellent electronic and mechanical troubleshooting skills

  • Excellently demonstrated written and verbal communication skills

  • Excellently demonstrated organizational skills

  • Ability to multitask and meet project timelines with minimal supervision

  • Exhibits good independent judgment and decision-making skills

  • Ability to be proactive and self-motivated

  • Ability to use Microsoft Office

  • Knowledge of technical areas where certification can be obtained (i.e. CompTIA A+, N+ Server +, Microsoft MCSA, MOS, Dell Server)

  • In depth knowledge of Window operating systems as well as a working knowledge of servers, networking and storage

  • Understanding computer architecture, software tools

  • Knowledge of quality concepts, procedures, and Six Sigma tools

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma/GED

  • A minimum of 3 years of electronic work experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate Degree or Certification in Electronics

  • A minimum of 5 years of electronic work experience

  • Experience with procedural documentation and implementation

  • Knowledge of SAP

Work Conditions:

  • Warehouse/Production Environment

  • Required to wear PPE while on site

  • Work overtime as required

  • Ability to lift greater than or equal to 50 lbs.

Base compensation salary range: $ 22.96 - $29.29
