Installs, troubleshoots and repairs complex mechanical and distribution systems, involving work of varied nature with minimum supervision. Performs job change setup as scheduled.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Install, troubleshoot, and repair complex mechanical equipment and distribution systems, involving work of a varied nature with a minimum of supervision. Conduct preventive maintenance, clean lube, and inspect equipment. Perform work in the mechanic's skill area such as fabrication, assembly, welding, burning, cutting, basic turning, basic milling, and pipefitting. Install, set up, troubleshoot, repair and maintain all equipment, assemblies, or parts in accordance with diagrams, sketches, operating manuals, manufacturers specifications, and written and or verbal instructions. Use typical mechanics tools and inspection gauges. Work from ladders, elevated places, or in pits when required. Use hoist, cranes, hand tools and power tools to dismantle and reassemble parts and or machines. Clean, inspect and diagnose equipment or part failures to determine root cause. Prepare equipment for production machines when needed. Assist Electro Mechanics and other departments when needed. Assist and train others less experienced co-workers when needed. Complete routine paperwork and computer work as required. Direct work of helpers as required. Operate equipment to assure satisfactory performance. Set up and operate various types of machine tools such as, but not limited to lathers and mills to duplicate, make or rework parts in emergency repairs. Keep equipment and work area in a clean and orderly condition.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES: Excellent troubleshooting skills. Knowledge of air compressors, vacuum pumps, blowers, combustible gasses and fluids, and industrial equipment.

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE: 1-3 years prior maintenance and mechanical experience. Welding experience preferred.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 75 lbs. Ability to carry up to 50 lbs. Ability to work in confined spaces. Must be able to work at elevated heights and high temperatures. Ability to work overtime when needed, possibly on short notice. Must be able to work the duty requirement as scheduled.

SHIFT: Monday-Friday 6am-2pm plus on call rotation.
