DESCRIPTION OF WORK As part of this role, you will play a crucial role in supporting various administrative tasks, budgeting, supervision, resource management, and resource protection within the Bald Eagle State Forest District. Your responsibilities will involve assisting the Forest District Manager in personnel procedures, as well as coordinating maintenance and development projects for roads, trails, picnic areas, and facilities with the forest foremen and their teams. Furthermore, you will be responsible for writing specifications, obtaining bids for equipment and supplies, and ensuring the necessary materials are procured for the district programs. Lastly, you will assist the Forest District Manager in compiling the capital budget and district operating and personnel budget.

Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment. Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: Two years of experience as a Forester; or Two years of experience as a Forest Nursery Assistant Manager; or Any equivalent combination of experience and training which affords the applicant the required knowledges, skills, and abilities.

Special Requirement: Possession of a valid motor vehicle operator's license, of the proper class for the vehicles operated, as issued by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
