Description

Georgia Military College is now accepting applications for a Learning Success Specialist at our Main Campus. The Learning Support Specialist reports to the Vice President of Junior College Academics and provides tier 1 helpdesk support to students to answer basic questions concerning learning technologies and to resolve student account issues. The Learning Support Specialist provides Learning Management System content and technical support to Junior College Faculty and staff. The Learning Support Specialist assists in research and data analysis to support Junior College student success and retention initiatives.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Resolves tier 1 student helpdesk tickets on student accounts and learning technologies.

  • Provide LMS and content integrity technical support to Junior College Faculty.

  • Conduct data retrieval, analysis, and develop reports for JC Student Success and retention initiatives.

  • Work with main campus to resolve student, faculty, and staff IT issues.

  • Develops user guides and instructional materials to support classroom instruction.

*Criminal background check and drug screen must be cleared before any candidate may begin working.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree

  • Technical background to include common software applications & the ability to learn new ones.

  • Technologically proficient with strong customer service skills. Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and problem- solving skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1-2 years’ experience working with an LMS, helpdesk ticketing system, querying databases.

  • Advanced technology skills, customer service skills. Strong presentation and communication skills.
