Description

Georgia Military College Auxiliary and Facility Operations has an opening for a Full-Time Lead Painter.

The Lead Painter applies paint, varnishes, and stains to interior and/or exterior surfaces. He/she prepares surfaces for painting by removing old paint, using paint remover, scraper, wire brush, or blowtorch. The Lead Painter fills nail holes, cracks, joints with caulk, putty, plaster or other filler, using caulking gun and putty knife. He/she primes surfaces as necessary and chooses paint according to application or job.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma

  • Knowledge of basic or commonly used rules, procedures, or operations which typically requires some previous training or experience in the use of paints, varnishes, satins, and equipment necessary to perform the duties of the position.

*Criminal background check and drug screen must be cleared before any candidate may begin working.
