Oasis Ascent Grave Shift Youth Mentor in Millcreek, Utah

Hours 11 pm - 7 am

As a youth mentor, you'll help create a safe and supportive environment where teens can heal and grow. And with a starting wage of $15-16/hour DOE and a $.75 raise within the first 90 days, you'll be able to support yourself while making a meaningful impact.

Our students are in crisis, and they need your help. As a youth mentor, you'll be a vital part of our team, providing around-the-clock secure care and intensive support to young men and women. You'll work closely with licensed clinicians to assess their needs and determine the best course of action for their individual situations.

But this job isn't just about helping our students. It's also about helping their families. By working with us, you'll be able to help families begin reconnecting and healing, creating lasting positive change that can make a real difference in their lives.

At Oasis Ascent, we understand the importance of developing and maintaining authentic, appropriate relationships with our students. That's why we're looking for patient, kind, emotionally mature individuals who can empower and inspire hope in our students. As a youth mentor, you'll work closely with our therapists to ensure that we're providing consistent, effective, and appropriate care across departments.

Requirements

Please ensure your resume includes education, work experience, certifications, and licenses

  • Able to pass criminal investigation background check

  • Able to pass a pre-employment and periodic drug screening

  • Able to pass motor vehicle record check

  • Current Utah driver's license (within 30 days of employment)

  • 1st Aid & CPR certified (we may provide)

  • ICC certified (we may provide)

  • Good time management

  • Works well within a team

  • Strong problem-solving aptitude

  • Able to emotionally self-regulate

  • Able to stay mentally present and alert while working

  • Patient and kind

  • Good judgement

  • Safety-oriented

  • Effective communicator including listening, writing, and speaking

  • Firm, healthy boundaries

  • Over 21 years of Age
