MILFORD MINING COMPANY Control Room Operator (Mining Production) in MILFORD, Utah

Control Room Operator needed for a Milford, UT mine.

Summary/Objective

The Control Room Operator position performs all tasks involved in the production of the company's products. They are the primary monitor of all plant operations on screens and computers. They watch closely to identify any abnormal operating and equipment conditions, and then rectify these abnormal conditions. This position follows standard work methods and practices and safe work habits to ensure production is as efficient and safe as possible.

Wage will be arranged with employer.

Essential Functions

  1. Operate the Process Control System (PCS) on multiple computer screens to ensure the smooth operations of the grinding, flotation, concentrate handling, acid leach, CCD, Solvent Extraction, Electrowinning and any other process unit as directed and required.
  2. Listen, understand and provide feedback to team leader or process manager.
  3. Provide consistent and timely feedback to the field process operators on the status of the various unit processes.
  4. Input data and record information as instructed.
  5. Recommend efficiencies in process operations.
  6. Maintain a safe, efficient and effective process station and practice good housekeeping.

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to bright screens. The noise level in the work environment can be loud.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to operate computer terminals; and reach with hands and arms, and sit for long extended amounts of time. 

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position, and hours of work and days may vary but are typically 7 on, 7 off, Thursday through Wednesday from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM. Overtime may be required as needed.

Required Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or GED.
  •     Demonstrated production or process plant experience required

Preferred Education and Experience

Previous control room DCS experience preferred.
