Milford Regional Medical Center Peri-Operative Materials Supply Clerk in Milford, Massachusetts

Statement of Purpose: The Peri-Operative Materials Supply Clerk receives, stores and maintains inventory according to OR needs by checking shelves and reordering standard items as required. Reporting directly to Supervisor, Peri Operative Materials, will ensure effective and efficient management of supplies. Maintain current knowledge of supply chain management including but not limited to, inventory control, purchasing policies, procurement practices and materials management information systems. JACHO, FDA, DPH, and other regulatory agencies. Additionally, this person will need to be flexible and be willing to take on additional duties as assigned to support the success of the department and OR function.

Qualifications:

Education: High School Diploma or GED

Certification/License: N/A

Experience: 1-3 years in OR Materials Management preferred Familiarity with Medical Terminology Previous purchasing experience in healthcare Operating Room setting preferred. Understanding of the lifecycle of a supply – price/order/use/charge Strong Communication skills Ability to work well with all levels of the organizations including physicians, OR staff, patients and co-workers
