Milford Regional Medical Center Manager, Clinical Pharmacy in Milford, Massachusetts

Milford Regional Medical Center is a full-service, community and regional teaching hospital located in Milford, Mass. and serves patients from more than 20 towns in Central Massachusetts. The 149-bed medical center is a nonprofit, acute-care facility, where more than 300 primary care and specialty physicians are committed to providing exceptional healthcare services to our community with dignity, compassion and respect.

Statement of Purpose:

The Manager, Clinical Pharmacy functions as both a clinician and manager dedicated to optimal clinical services. The Manager, Clinical Pharmacy will include but is not limited to supporting the direct supervision of Pharmacists, development, research and implementation of guidelines, regulatory activities, medication safety, medication Information and pharmacy education. This position reports directly to the Director of Pharmacy and represents the department on collaborative and interdisciplinary committees and drives excellent clinical pharmacy services.

Qualifications:

Education: Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an accredited College/University of Pharmacy required

Certification / License: Valid Massachusetts Pharmacist License Board Certification in one or more specialty required or must be obtained within 2 years of hire

Experience:

  • Five years of hospital pharmacy experience, with two years of direct oversight of sterile compounding activities

  • 2+ years of direct management experience including dealing with complex issues

  • Project management experience required

  • Regulatory/Compliance experience a plus

  • Demonstrated ability to conceptualize and drive performance and process improvement initiatives

  • Excellent coaching and conflict resolution skills

  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

  • Strong communication skills

  • Presentation skills and ability to present at all levels of the organization

  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment, and drive employee engagement and teamwork

  • Proven ability to take initiative and build strong and productive personal relationships

  • Must be proficient with computer use and technology, including systems specific to the pharmacy.
