Milford Regional Medical Center Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Milford, Massachusetts

4 nights per week, 2pm-midnight, 10 hour shifts

Statement of Purpose: Under the general direction of the Manager of Behavioral Health, evaluates, diagnoses and treats a wide range of psycho-social problems applying individual clinical skills in order to assist patients and their families/significant others in the resolution of personal and environmental problems, attributable to mental or physical illness, which prevent them from achieving their highest level of psycho-social functioning.

Qualifications:

Education: Masters' degree in Psychology or Counseling Psychology from an accredited graduate school.

Certification/License: Massachusetts LMHC is required

Experience: 3+ years’ experience, post LMHC licensure, in a clinical setting, preferably in health care. Functions independently within the scope of department policies and goals and within the framework of their licensure.

Training and experience necessary to address the specific needs of the patients served in an assigned area of responsibility; this includes issues relating to age and stage of development and the particular special needs and cultural patterns of the patient populations being served.

Analytical and therapeutic skills necessary to evaluate patients, develop treatment plans, initiate, and Evaluate results.

Interpersonal skills necessary to interact with patients, families, medical staff and outside agencies in Providing services, reaching consensus and problem resolution, can supervise.
