State of Massachusetts Construction Coordinator II - RES MGT in Milford, Massachusetts

Duties: Preparing construction documents consisting of drawings to be created in Computer Aided Design (CAD) and specifications used on construction projects. Prepare shop drawings in CAD for the MassCor Industries programs. Monitor and document changes in scope of work on CAD drawings during design and/or construction of projects. Conduct field investigations in order to gather information needed to develop CAD drawings and specifications. Review applications for permits or licenses for projects. Review construction and service contract payment estimates and/or invoices for labor, materials, equipment, and supplies. Inspect construction operations to ensure work is being performed in accordance with the contract drawings and specifications. Review MassCor Industries program fabrication to ensure compliance with shop drawings. Performing related duties such as writing memoranda, letters, or general reports; collecting and correlating project data; maintaining records and operating technical equipment. Assists in archiving of record documents.* *Preferred Qualifications: Position requires incumbent to possess a diverse background in the Architectural design field to include an emphasis on Architecture design and/or Industrial design for fabrication and permitting. Familiar with the application of the laws, rules, regulations, policies, procedures, and guidelines governing commercial and industrial construction in the public sector. Demonstrated experience in Chapter 149 and Chapter 30 construction projects for state and county government.Knowledge and expertise in the use of AutoCAD is critical.* *Comments: This is a Civil Service position. Incumbents are required to have a current and valid Motor Vehicle Driver's License at a Class level specific to assignment. Substitutions: 1. An Associate's degree or Technical degree in a related field may be substituted for one (1) year of the required experience.
