Milford Regional Medical Center Coding Analyst in Milford, Massachusetts

40 hours, 7am - 3:30pm, Monday - Friday, No weekends or Holidays

Statement of Purpose:

Under the supervision of the Coding Supervisor and the direction of the Director of Health Information Management the Coding Analyst codes hospital records for the purpose of reimbursement, research and compliance with federal regulations according to job diagnosis (es), operation(s), and procedure(s) using ICD-10-CM & CPT classification systems. The Coding Analyst ensures accuracy and timely statistics while supporting the financial stability of the organization while ensuring compliance with requirements related to the Prospective Payment System.

Qualifications:

Education: Minimum qualifications required include completion of an accredited coding program or accredited Medical Records program. Certification / License: CCA (Certified Coding Assistant), CCS (Certified Coding Specialist) or RHIT (Registered Health Information Technician) preferred. Experience: 1 year experience preferred, but will train with above minimum qualifications.

MRMC Differentials:

Hospital differentials are: $3.50 hourly for evenings, $4.75 hourly for nights, and $2.75 hourly for weekends. All differentials are paid based per hospital policy.
