The 149-bed medical center is a nonprofit, acute-care facility, where more than 300 primary care and specialty physicians are committed to providing exceptional healthcare services to our community with dignity, compassion and respect.

Statement of Purpose:

Certified Pharmacy Technicians assist Pharmacists in preparing and distributing medications, maintaining the drug inventory and maintaining patient records. Certified Pharmacy Technicians work only under the supervision of a registered Pharmacist. They do not perform duties that can legally be performed only by a registered Pharmacist.

Qualifications:

Education: High School diploma or GED. College courses desirable but not required. Minimum age of 18 years old.

Certification / License: Registration with Massachusetts Board of Pharmacy as Registered Pharmacy Technician, certification by a Board approved certifying body or Pharmacy Intern license and also a P3 and/or P4 Pharmacy student.

Experience: Successful completion of a minimum of 500 hours of employment as a Pharmacy Technician Trainee or successful completion of a Board approved Pharmacy Technician training program. In the case of a Pharmacy Intern, P3 or P4 standing. MRMC Differentials:

Hospital differentials are: $3.50 hourly for evenings, $4.75 hourly for nights, and $2.75 hourly for weekends. All differentials are paid based per hospital policy.
