SOFTWARE VERIFICATION & TEST ENGINEER - TCMS - RAIL DOMAIN

Work Location: Milan Area

Role Overview:

The selected resource will be responsible for testing and validation of software applied to TCMS.

He/She will be responsible for understanding system specifications and designing test strategies and test procedures against them, implementing test plans to execute system testing on simulator, on physical test bench or on vehicle.

Understanding of Rail domain, standards, software/hardware architectures is highly preferential.

Key Responsibilities

• Key point of contact for Customer to ensure the correct performance of the testing activities, in agreement with the customer provided schedule;

• Preparing and reviewing of documentation, including test plans, test procedures and test results documents;

• Setting up the verification & test environment implementing the appropriate configuration;

• Performing testing activities on simulator, test bench or on vehicle, according to test plans;

• Resolving technical issues related to test environment and setup;

• Reporting.

Skills/Requirements

• Education: BSc/MSc in Computer Engineering/Electronics/Electrical/Mechatronics/Automation Engineering or similar background;

• 2+ years of experience in SW Validation / Testing activities within structured environments (any Rail experience would be preferential);

• Experience in Manual and Automated testing;

• Must have experience in preparing system test cases and tracing system requirement specifications to system test cases;

• Good Knowledge of Matlab, Simulink, Labview and NI tools;

• Experience with tools like JIRA, DOORS, Polarion, Atlassian Confluence or similar;

• Should have very good analytical and technical skills to provide testing solution to the Customer;

• Should have excellent communication and interpersonal skills to face to the Customer;

• Good English speaker.
