Citigroup Relationship Associate - C11 - Milan - Hybrid in Milano, Italy

CCB delivers extensive industry knowledge, local expertise, and dedicated service support to companies with an international footprint.

This incremental Relationship Associate (RA) position has come on the back of the CCB business strong growth in Italy. The RA will have primary responsibility of supporting the bankers on servicing the banking and financing needs of Italian headquartered clients.

Responsibilities:

  • Help clients to access Citi’s global network, locating local coverage and product support across the globe.

  • Build relationships with client network and operational teams, becoming a key contact for internal requests/problem escalation and resolution.

  • Support account strategies by developing an institutional understanding of the client, e.g.; their treasury model and philosophy, funding model and cash management strategy in order to build an efficient, productive and strong relationship.

  • Develop relationships with clients and assist with routine payment and credit queries, confirmation of support, problem escalation.

  • Provide day-to-day banking support to the bankers.

  • Primary point of contact for onboarding, work on customer due diligence / KYC for new to bank clients as well as existing client base and handle documentation related to client on-boarding.

  • Responsible for driving deals through CRM, initiate CRM workflow for account opening and other Treasury & Trade Solution (TTS) products. Ensure ramp up of revenue from deals implemented.

  • Co-ordinate / manage account structures - assist with account opening/closing and ensure correct liquidity structure to meet client needs. Work as an integral part of the Banking Team and leads efforts to maintain and fine-tune the client’s existing Product Solutions.

  • Work in partnership with Trade Implementations for the issuance and associated documentation for Guarantee’s/LC’s.

  • Handle queries on other TTS products e.g. cards, receivables, liquidity structures, trade finance products etc.

  • Manage existing base of key client relationships for transaction level support. Close coordination with Global Network Banking and Product partners, Credit Risk management Services (CRMS) and the Documentation Unit (DCU) for credit line set up.

Knowledge/Experience:

  • Previous experience working within Commercial/Corporate banking.

  • Experience in a client facing role.

  • Knowledge of cash management, trade, lending, FX, capital markets or other banking solutions.

Skills:

  • Commercial/Corporate Banking skills.

  • Ability to maintain an effective network across the organization.

  • Organisational skills. Ability to multi-task

  • Excellent communication skills.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft and CRM applications.

Education:

  • Degree level or equivalent.

  • Fluency in Italian and English required (written and spoken).
