As IT Support Engineer OEM EMEA, you will support the sales department in the implementation of projects in the area of data communication and connection of our marking systems at our OEM customers. Following a tailored induction and training program, this position is a unique opportunity to drive customer retention and growth through the acquisition of new business. You will be based in the UK, Germany or Italy with 70% remote and 30% on-site (travel).

In this role, a typical day will look like:

  • You will be the point of contact for projects that require review, adaptation or modification of our standards for communication and connection to higher level systems.

  • You will act as a direct line between Sales and R&D and partner with them.

  • You work on projects remotely, but also have direct customer contact on site.

  • You manage the requirements and closely accompany our customers in l the successful installation process of the printing systems.

  • You will be involved in field support for application review, programming / set-up details with OEM customers.

The essential requirements of this role include:

  • ZPL Expertise – including “Alternative ZPL” designs – i.e. being about to analyze customer needs and suggest small changes that already conform to our ZPL emulation but meet applications

  • Ability to understand and use Application Programming Languages (APL)

  • Pallet Labeling – experience with various suppliers & applications – PLC Knowledge important

  • Integration knowledge, especially around Ethernet IP, Profinet, ZPL, Pallet Labeling, Secondary Packaging

  • Very good general installation skills and knowledge of components in technical industries.
