Who we're looking for:

The Engineering Design Innovation Department is looking for a passionate and highly-motivated Technician.

The primary responsibility of this role is to support the Rapid Prototype creation process within R&D. Reporting to the RP Shop Supervisor, the person in this role will support the Eng. Design Innovation department's objective to support North America Product Development and Vehicle Evaluation.

Your average day:

  • Ensure Prototype RP part Quality and Delivery will meet or exceed customer requirements.
  • Operate and maintain SLA, SLS, FDM, and MJM 3D Printing equipment
  • Initial responsibility will be centered on RP part Production and finishing
  • and process Quality Assurance.
  • Safety Management System participation.
  • Solve problems and create Kaizen to support Safety, Quality, Productivity KPIs.
  • Flexibility and commitment to above responsibilities will require up to 30% overtime at peak times.
  • Cyclical nature of Prototype Production will require broad flexibility of work assignment.
  • Fabricate functional parts, appearance models, and scale models- Finishing for body repair or RP class 'A' appearance- Prototype assembly, Special Projects.
  • Take initiative to problem solve and Kaizen while working effectively with the entire R&D team.
