Job Description

AECOM Italia, is seeking a dynamic and experienced ESG & Climate Change Consultant to join our EHS&Sustainability team, which is facing the challenges of climate change and decarbonization. The candidate will play a pivotal role in advancing our clients' sustainability initiatives, managing climate-related projects, and spearheading decarbonization strategies. By joining our team, you will have the opportunity to work on diverse projects that will challenge you technically while giving you the opportunity to grow professionally.

The appointed person will be expected to have a key role in the team, with the following responsibilities:

  • Conduct ESG assessments;

  • Implement climate change risk assessments;

  • Develop full-scale assessments for energy, emission trading systems (ETS), GHG, and decarbonization;

  • Manage and analyze data to produce relevant reports on energy assessment, climate performance, and resilience assessments;

  • Lead the development and execution of climate change mitigation and adaptation strategies, achievement of carbon neutrality, with a focus on energy-related initiatives;

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to seamlessly integrate ESG considerations, energy, and ETS principles into clients' business operations;

  • Stay abreast of industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to sustainability, with thorough knowledge in energy, emission trading, and ESG principles.

Qualifications

  • Appropriate Master’s Degree in Environmental/Energy/ Climate Change Engineering or other related discipline;

  • Post-graduate study in sustainability matters and climate-energy transition will be considered as a plus;

  • Fluent in Italian and English;

  • At least 4 years of experience in ESG, sustainability or decarbonization climate change, and decarbonization advisory;

  • Qualifications such as Energy Manager (EGE), Auditor ISO 14064, or equivalent are will be considered as a plus;

  • Understanding of relevant frameworks (e.g., GRI, SASB, TCFD) and reporting standards;

  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to lead and coordinate diverse client teams;

  • Strong analytical and communication skills, including the ability to convey complex information clearly;

  • To be familiar with relevant software and tools for data analysis and reporting, with a focus on energy-related applications;

  • Licensed to drive in Italy (Patente B)
