We have an immediate need for a Production Associate to join our Thin Film Coating Department. In this role, you will play a key part in the Operation of our Thin Film deposition chambers, developing the skills required to become a Thin Film Coating technician. Primary Responsibilities:

  • Operating vacuum coating machines for the application of single, multi-layer coatings

  • Inspecting and cleaning of optical components

  • Preparing, cleaning and loading of coating chambers

  • Performing metrology measurement, such as transmission, reflection and elipsometry

  • Share in the commitment towards a positive workplace culture

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Completion of Ontario Secondary School Diploma

  • Completion Post-Secondary in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Manufacturing)

  • Good manual dexterity

  • Strong organizational skills

  • Working knowledge of tooling, machining, gauges and proper use of equipment

  • Understanding of mechanical drawings, blueprints, and interpretation

  • Knowledge and experience using measuring equipment

  • Highly effective communications skills

  • Proven ability to solve technical problems and make sound decisions

  • Highly motivated with a demonstrated positive attitude

  • Willingness to learn and acquire knowledge/understanding through study, instruction or experience
