About you and this role:

We are currently seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Remediation Sourcing Specialist to join our Labor & Services team. As a Sourcing Specialist, you will play a critical role in supporting our procurement and sourcing activities by identifying, evaluating, and engaging with potential suppliers. Your primary focus will be on finding and securing reliable and cost-effective sources of services and equipment. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to our organization's success by ensuring the availability of quality resources while optimizing costs and maintaining strong supplier relationships.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Remediation team to understand sourcing needs and requirements for various projects and initiatives.

  • Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and vendors, evaluate their capabilities, and analyze their suitability for specific sourcing needs.

  • Assist in the development and implementation of sourcing strategies and initiatives to optimize costs, quality, and delivery.

  • Engage with suppliers to request quotes, negotiate pricing and terms, and evaluate supplier proposals.

  • Perform supplier qualification assessments, including evaluating financial stability, capacity, quality management systems, and compliance with relevant regulations.

  • Manage supplier relationships, including regular communication, issue resolution, performance monitoring, and driving continuous improvement.

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment of sourcing activities with functional objectives and project timelines.

  • Monitor supplier performance, track key performance indicators (KPIs), and engage management to drive accountability and identify improvement opportunities.

  • Support contract management activities, including reviewing and negotiating supplier contracts, terms, and conditions.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of a bachelor's degree or relevant military experience at or above a U.S. E6 ranking or Canadian Petty Officer 2nd Class or Sergeant

  • A minimum requirement for this U.S. based position is the ability to work legally in the United States. No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position, including for any type of U.S. permanent residency (green card) process

Preferred Skills:

  • A degree discipline in Purchasing, Supply Chain, Business Administration, Engineering or related field

  • A minimum of 2 years of relevant industry experience

  • Proven experience as a Sourcing Specialist, Procurement Specialist, or in a similar role, preferably in a fast-paced and dynamic environment

Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:

  • Solid understanding of procurement and sourcing principles, processes, and best practices

  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capability to collect and interpret data, perform cost analysis, and make data-driven decisions

  • Detail-oriented mindset with strong organizational and time management skills to manage multiple sourcing projects simultaneously

  • Proficiency in using sourcing tools and procurement software

  • Familiarity with contract management principles and experience in reviewing and negotiating supplier contracts

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic work environment

  • Continues to build knowledge of the company, processes and customers

  • Receives a moderate level of guidance and direction

  • This role is primarily onsite but will align to the Design Your Day flexible workplace strategy to allow flexibility to work both onsite and remotely based on project work and role needs.
