Job Description

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a QC Technician, II at Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the detailed production of premier products.

Responsibilities:

  • Implement and maintain the effectiveness of the quality system

  • Perform in-process quality inspections during manufacturing to determine compliance with approved requirements

  • Identify and address quality defects in a timely manner to prevent repeated failures

  • Record in-process quality inspections and track the number of defects identified

  • Collaborate with the Quality Assurance team to find areas for ongoing improvement.

  • Partner with manufacturing personnel for line opening and closing activities

  • Document nonconformances in the quality system and participate in the DR/CAPA system

  • Assist in revising departmental processes to drive continual improvement

  • Adjust work schedules as required to support changes in the manufacturing schedule

  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • High School graduate or equivalent with 3-5 years of confirmed experience in Quality Assurance or Quality Control preferred. Equivalent experience will also be considered.

  • Experience and knowledge of ISO 13485 and 21 CFR 820 preferred

  • Familiarity with inspection principles and concepts

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to function in a team environment and receive mentorship with minimal supervision

  • Attentive to details and capable of managing multiple tasks

  • Basic knowledge of computer applications required
