SAIC Quality Technician in MIDDLETOWN, Rhode Island

Description

SAIC is currently seeking a Quality Technician in Middletown, RI to assess our electrical mechanical test systems to ensure product conformance. In this role, you will conduct routine quality inspections throughout production, including receiving, in-process, and final inspections. During these inspections you will assess product compliance by utilizing product electrical and mechanical drawings, test meters, and precision measuring tools to ensure that products meet specifications. You will also manage equipment calibrations and perform workstation audits. In addition, maintain records, tracking metrics, and develop quality reports. Applicants should have experience performing required task in similar product environment.

Job Duties:

  • Conducts routine quality inspections throughout the production or manufacturing process, including receiving, in-process, and final inspections.

  • Manages equipment calibration process

  • Performs in process audits.

  • Maintains documentation of all inspections and potential issues

  • Manages MRB assessment

  • Assists with problem resolution and suggest process improvements

  • Assists in development and maintaining quality performance reports

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Associate degree in a technical field and three (3) years of relevant experience; years of experience accepted in lieu of degree.

  • Must be able to obtain Secret security clearance.

  • Manufacturing experience building electronic systems

  • Ability to read schematics and technical drawings

  • Ability to use a variety of precision measuring tools, including multi meters, micrometers, calipers, and other similar metrology devices
