Job Overview

This is a 1st shift, full time position (40 hours per week) in the Advanced Manufacturing Technology Additive Manufacturing (AM / 3D printing) development and production center located at the 3101 Fulling Mill Rd site in Middletown, PA. The candidate will be responsible for sustaining current processes while working with engineering teams to develop new processes for AM, with a focus on post-printing processes. The candidate will require knowledge of both additive manufacturing, traditional machining operations, and CNC programming.

  • Has strong impact in Advanced Manufacturing Technology Roadmap driven development projects.

  • Drives for excellence in existing additive manufacturing technologies and methods.

  • Strives to implement optimized or new technologies to improve processes and tolerance control.

  • Performs the set-up, changeover, and efficient flow of materials of all process steps involved in AM manufacturing and post processing.

  • Performs activities for process development and product manufacturing such as programming and operation of CNC milling equipment, optical inspection tools, and manual surface finishing methods.

  • Performs activities involved in AM related machine and chemical process control as per approved procedures/work instructions.

  • Assists in special engineering projects as required, to include basic mechanical designs, equipment evaluation, data gathering, data organization, recording of procedures and calibration procedures.

  • Uses ability as a skilled specialist to contribute to the development of new concepts and techniques.

  • Resolves complex situations, issues, and tasks by taking independent action and a high degree of initiative; develops and applies creative / resourceful methods to completing work as appropriate.

  • Frequently interacts with individuals representing partner organizations or individuals of significant importance within the company.

  • Maintains and adheres to all appropriate specifications, EH&S, and customer requirements.

  • Resolves complex situations, issues, and tasks by taking independent action and a high degree of initiative; develops and applies creative / resourceful methods to completing work as appropriate.

What your background should look like:

  • Minimum 6 years of manufacturing operations experience.

  • High School diploma or related local equivalent required.

  • Must have the ability to learn new additive manufacturing technologies.

  • Has familiarity with using design software. (CREO, Spaceclaim, PDMLink, etc.)

  • Demonstrates extensive knowledge and wide understanding additive and traditional manufacturing processes (set-up and change-over, efficient flow of materials, troubleshooting, etc.)

  • Knowledge of stamping, plating, and assembly processes for connectors and sockets is desired.

  • Requires skill, tact, persuasion and/or negotiation to accomplish objectives.

  • Familiarity with MS Office software (Word, Excel, PPT, & Outlook).

  • Willingness for occasional travel

  • Willingness to learn new skills and processes.

COMPENSATION

• Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $74,000 – $111,000 (subject to change dependent on physical location)

• Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.

• Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
