Back to Basics Learning Dynamics is seeking a Special Education Teacher to serve our 1:1 private school, Augustine Hills, for the 2024-2025 school year.  This opportunity is perfect for retired teachers looking to make a difference in the lives of students!

Location: Wilmington, DE

Type: In-person teacher for 1:1 teaching.

Schedule: 9:30 am to 2:00 pm 2-3 days a week flexible hours

Description/Clientele: Middle School Students 

Job Requirements:

  • A minimum of 3 years of teaching, excluding student teaching, of grade level being requested.

  • Must have experience teaching in special education environment.

  • Knowledge of material for presentation of four (4) core subjects in a differentiated manner for the students' abilities.

  • Have flexibility and pivot as needed for the students' engagement.

  • A minimum of a bachelor’s degree.

  • Must have experience in and proficiency with written documentation regarding lessons and students' progress as well as assign grading on a weekly basis.

  • Must be available in-person in the Wilmington area (preferably no more than 30 minutes travel time).

  • Possess a Special Education Teaching certification.
