Job Title: Electronic Technician

Job Description:

As an Electronic Technician, you’ll conduct various electronic and electromechanical tests on electronic systems, subassemblies, and parts to ensure they operate by specifications. Your role involves applying knowledge of electronic principles to determine equipment malfunctions and restoring equipment to operation. You’ll work hands-on, troubleshooting and repairing custom electronic power supplies and products from concept through production. Your contributions will directly impact the quality and reliability of critical components used in state-of-the-art military defense platforms.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct electronic and electromechanical tests on electronic systems, subassemblies, and parts.

  • Diagnose equipment malfunctions using electronic principles.

  • Restore equipment to operation by applying repair skills.

  • Collaborate with engineers and cross-functional teams.

  • Participate in designing, developing, and improving electronic power supplies and products.

Hard Skills:

  • Knowledge and application of electronic theory and test methods.

  • Understanding of schematics for electronics and electrical assemblies and sub-assemblies.

  • Electronic Assembly using hand tools such as oscilloscopes or multimeters for testing, repair, or refurbishments.

Soft Skills

  • Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose

  • Ability to work in a team

  • Inter-departmental communication

    Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree or equivalent from 2-year/technical school in electronics or commensurate applicable experience

  • Basic math skills, including electronic theory math

  • Ability to read and understand drawings, procedures, and bills of material

  • Good organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Computer skills, including MS Word, Excel, Outlook and Adobe Reader

  • Ability to multitask

  • Previous experience in electronic testing or related field.

  • Familiarity with soldering, assembly techniques, and troubleshooting.

  • Attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Ability to work effectively within a team.
