College of Education, Health & Society: Miami University TEACh Cincinnati Campus-Based Coordinator to be responsible for the design and program development, matriculation and near-peer mentoring of students, and overall support and navigation for the TEACh Cincinnati pipeline program. This coordinator supports TEACh Cincinnati students in their college transitions, matriculation, and retention, acting as the single point of contact for all activities of the program. 

Founded in 1902, the College of Education, Health, and Society was Miami University's first professional school and home to Miami's first graduate of color. CEHS continues to lead the way with the highest percentage of diverse students and faculty across the university. The College embraces the rich opportunities available for cross-disciplinary collaboration across its six departments (Educational Leadership; Educational Psychology; Family Science and Social Work; Kinesiology, Nutrition, and Health; Sport Leadership and Management; and Teaching, Curriculum, and Educational Inquiry).

The Miami University TEACh Cincinnati Campus-Based Coordinator will coordinate the design, implementation, scaling, monitoring, continuous improvement, and ongoing evaluation of the TEACh Cincinnati program; coordinate with EHS leadership to support TEACh students during transitions, matriculation, and graduation from a teacher education program at Miami University; serve as the primary point of contact for TEACh Cincinnati students on Miami University's campus; support (in collaboration with Miami University's grants office) the applications for and reports associated with grants from public and private sources and state and federal agencies; liaise with and assist in coordinating field placements and student teaching experiences in Cincinnati Public Schools (CPS) for pipeline participants with MU field office; coordinate with MU/CPS Pipeline Coordinator for high school student campus visits and engage with students during their visits (e.g. Day of Champions, Bridges, Summer Scholars, other events throughout the year); interface with various units and offices on Miami's campus to assist students with their navigation of the university, including but not limited to: financial aid, housing, orientation, disability services, counseling, University Success Center/OneStop on behalf of and with students; leverage EHS Student Success Center to meet the holistic needs of students; support TEACh Cincinnati students once they matriculate to Miami University facilitating high-touch mentoring; work with CPS Staff and graduates of the program to identify appropriate job opportunities within CPS; identify and engage in complementary activities that align with and promote the EHS mission and vision within CPS partner schools to further deep partnership work within the college.

Required: Master's degree in education or closely related field by date of appointment.

Consideration may be given to candidates with experience in supporting undergraduate experiences in higher education particularly with underrepresented student populations, experience teaching in P12 schools; experience in near-peer mentoring or other mentoring with college students; experience working with teacher academies or other teacher pipeline programs; experience teaching or administration in higher education; experience making connections between P12 schools and institutions of higher education; experience with grant writing or seeking external funding.
