SUMMARY OF THE JOB:

The IT Engineering Leader Role is a critical function inside of IT and Liberty Bank. The role will be responsible for the design, planning and implementation of technology solutions aligned with business requirements to deliver value back to the business. The leader will also be an escalation point for Liberty Banks technology operations group for complex issues. The leader will also be responsible for the identification and remediation of problems within the environment (proactive management). The leader role will also be responsible for managing a team of highly technical resources, their daily activities and regular updates on projects and initiatives the group is working on, including any proactive problem management. The group will also be responsible for product looks across technology and if/how they can add value to Liberty Bank.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Design, Planning and Implementation of technology solutions aligned to business requirements (projects and initiatives).

  • Managing the day-to-day activities of a team of engineers whose expertise spans Networking, System Engineering, Telephony and Cloud (Azure and M365).

  • Drive the team's goals and technical direction to pursue opportunities that make Liberty Bank more efficient.

  • Understand industry & company-wide trends to help assess & develop new technologies.

  • Partner & collaborate with Liberty Bank’s leaders to help improve the level of performance of the team & organization.

  • Identify new opportunities for the larger organization & influence the appropriate people for staffing/prioritizing these new ideas.

  • Coordinating activities with other IT functions both within and outside of CTO.

  • Provide next level assistance in triage, and serve as SME’s in their area, both as a manager and as a technical expert in either Networking, Compute (Windows), PCs (Windows, and supporting technology like AD, GPOs, Firewalls, Web content filtering, etc.

  • Work with other team members to identify opportunities to reduce outage volume and cycle time (Problem Management).

  • Participate and lead opportunities to introduce new technologies in Liberty Bank

  • Manage Vendors in their area.

  • Communicate effectively on status of projects, initiatives and tickets.

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience.

  • Experience leading projects with industry-wide impact.

  • Experience communicating and working across functions to drive solutions.

  • Experience in mentoring/influencing senior engineers across organizations.

  • Proven track record of planning multi-year roadmap in which shorter-term projects ladder to the long-term vision

  • Experience in driving large cross-functional/industry-wide engineering efforts.

  • 8+ years of programming experience

  • 8+ years of experience with building large-scale applications, or similar experience

  • 8+ years of experience with web or mobile technologies

  • 5+years managing strong technologists in and growing organization
