Job Summary

The Director of Total Rewards is responsible for overseeing the organization's compensation and benefits programs, policies, and procedures ensuring alignment with the organization's strategy and achievement of competitive position with regard to recruitment and retention, and complies with legal requirements ensuring cost-effectiveness.

Duties and Responsibilities

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

● Establish, maintain, and continuously improve the organization's total rewards philosophy, strategy, programs, policies, and procedures providing the most efficient and effective outcomes for the health system.

● Provide a proactive and innovative approach to employee compensation & incentive strategy and employee benefits programs

● Facilitate learning and knowledge transfer that contributes to elevating the level of HR and Line Management capability in the compensation and benefits areas. ● Research and prepare business cases to deliver greater business efficiencies and/or competitiveness (incentive/bonus programs, HRIS, benefits provision, salary packaging, etc.)

● Oversight and continued development of the compensation and benefits team.

COMPENSATION

● Support and ensure internal pay equity by managing employees' perception and providing clear communication on our processes and philosophy

● Ensure that the company remains externally competitive through the development and maintenance of competitive salary ranges by means of researching market data, participating in relevant salary surveys and collaborating with the Human Resources and Health System’s leadership team.

● Develop, implement and monitor salary ranges that attract, retain, reward, and motivate employees at all levels of the organization.

● Design, evaluate and modify compensation policies to ensure that programs are current, competitive, and in compliance with legal requirements.

● Spearhead the annual review process, including salary, bonus & benefits increase analysis

● Oversee physician compensation

BENEFITS

● Identify and implement benefits to increase the quality of life for employees and enhance recruitment and retention strategies

● Work as an escalation point to the HR Partners to address employees issues

● Oversee Open Enrollment, Leave of Absence and Workers compensation process. Qualifications Minimum

Qualifications:

● Bachelor's Degree or equivalent required, with a major in Finance or HR preferred

● Minimum 5 years experience in Compensation & Benefits Management.

● Healthcare industry experience required

● Experience in collecting, analyzing and interpreting statistical data (both internal and external) for planning and decision making

● Knowledge of principles and procedures for compensation and benefits, and HR information systems

● Knowledge of transactional HR procedures, managing files and records, designing processes, and other procedures and terminology

● Knowledge of economic and financial management principles and practices, the financial and labor markets, and the analysis and reporting of financial data i.e., budgets; workforce planning

● Strong project management, analytical and critical thinking skills

● Excel Advanced level required (filters, pivot tables, conditional formulas, V-Look Ups) and HRIS experience required

● Attention to detail, accuracy and organization required

● Customer service mindset

● Must be a self-starter, able to think a task or project through all necessary steps and follow through

● Solid written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills are essential
