DeRita and Sons Construction Co., Inc. CDL Class A Heavy Equipment Lowbed Driver in Middletown, Connecticut

  1. Must have Class A CDL License and valid medical card
  2. Drug free work place and pre-employment drug screening is mandatory
  3. [Load/Unload all types of Construction Equipment and Materials
  4. [Operate various types of heavy equipment including excavators, dozers, front-end loaders in order to load and unload from trailer
  5. [Minimum of 5 years experience driving tractors, flatbeds and lowboys; loading/unloading, and hauling construction equipment
  6. [Follow applicable safety rules, regulations, guidelines, policies and site specific safety plan
  7. [Perform routine inspection of truck and trailer
  8. [Perform Pre-operation check and inspection, including oil, fluids and grease truck and trailer
  9. [OSHA 10 Certification, Sexual Harassment Training
  10. [Must be able to interpret and follow written and oral instructions and assignments
  11. [Must be able to gather all information needed to obtain permits for moves
  12. [Must be capable of completing daily reports and submitting reports daily

Duties and Responsibilities include Loading/unloading all types of construction equipment and materials. Perform daily routine inspection of truck and trailer, such as checking oil, fluid levels and greasing of truck and trailer. Communicate daily tasks with project management. Responsible for following all safety protocols/guidelines. Capable of gathering all information needed to obtain permits for moves and completing daily report forms. Must value and implement safety on a daily basis.
