Research Compliance Associate

rDescription

rServes as IRB Analyst, managing the IRB Inbox and performing reviews of human subject proposals. Provides support to other compliance functions in the sciences.

r

rThis is a full time, benefits eligible, hourly position with a hiring range of \$26.32-32.91 per hour.

r

rCore Responsibilities:

r

  • Provides direct support to the college\'s Institutional Review Board (IRB), managing protocol submissions and conducting reviews of protocols. r
  • Manages the IRB inbox, responsing to requests for information and forwarding messages on for further review, as necessary. r
  • Schedules and coordinates IRB and IACUC committee meetings. r
  • Attends IRB meetings to provide technical support, guidance on regulatory matters and ethics, and to offer analysis of proposal content. r
  • Provides guidance on IRB committee requirements, including assistance with protocol modifications needed to secure approval, under the direction of the Associate Directot for Research Compliance. r
  • Administers required training programs on safety and compliance-related matters and maintains training records. r
  • Works with Lab Stores and Safety Manager, Administrative Associate, and other members of the STSS Department on safety and compliance-related matters.

rRequirements

r

  • A Bachelor\'s degree (BA/BS) and one year of experience working in a compliance area are required. r
  • Experience working in a human subject protection compliance position in a higher education setting is preferred. r
  • Must have the ability to express thoughts in a clear, concise, and professional manner, both verbally and in writing, to audiences with varying experience on compliance issues. r
  • Excellent organizational skills, detail-oriented, and a strong work ethic with the ability to work both independently and effectively with students, other staff, faculty, and administrators.

rPhysical Demands and Working Conditions

rWork is performed in an office environment and requires the ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards.
