Boeing Defence UK (BDUK) is looking for a Logistic Support Analysis (LSA) Engineer to primarily support our AH64E Programme based in Middle Wallop, United Kingdom. This position may occasionally support the wider BDUK platform portfolio on an as required basis.

Boeing Defence UK operates an engineering matrix organisation consisting of engineering departments that deliver technical skills, expertise and products into our programmes. One of the Departments is the Product Support Engineering (ILS Engineering) which provides the product supportability infrastructure comprising the following technical areas:

  • Logistic Support Analysis,

  • Reliability and Maintainability,

  • Reliability Centred Maintenance Analysis,

  • Engineering Data Exploitation,

  • Obsolescence Management,

  • Integrated Logistic Support Engineering,

  • Technical Publications.

The Logistic Support Analyst will support the LSA Lead Engineer reporting to the BDUK AH64E Product Support manager. The role is to provide forward leaning support to the Supply Chain Lead/Manager in the execution of their responsibilities with respect to spares provision and spares availability.

Responsibilities:

  • Review of the LSA following changes to program configuration baselines and provide support to the Supply Chain with respect to uplift of the associated provisioning systems.

  • Conduct a review of Technical Documentation to assist in the identification and resolution of alternate solutions for long lead orders and KPI fulfilment.

  • Provision of the initial response to Supply Chain with respect to parts identification through coordination with Field Service Representatives and the wider Product Support Team to address Technical Queries related to the provision and use of parts on aircraft inclusive of Support and Test Equipment.

  • Work in close conjunction with the Material & Demand Forecasting Team in resolving spares issues and codification support.

  • Coordinate with the internal Product Support functions to ensure configuration changes are reflected in the Aircraft Document Set.

  • Assess modification activity and / or Technical instructions to ensure Bill of Material requirements are identified for transition into the sustainment solution. This may require generation of Modification Spare Provisioning Lists (MSPL) and Initial Provisioning (IP), Ranging and Scaling Lists to support the Modification Package.

  • Review of Maintenance Task Analysis documentation and Vendor data to undertake Level of Repair Analysis (LORA).

  • Coordination with the Systems Engineering function with respect to emergent supplier requirements and development of corresponding Supplier Statements of Work.

  • The position will support Supply Chain meetings and provide inputs / feedback to engineering stakeholders as appropriate.

  • Review of Technical Documentation to assist in the resolution of alternative solutions for long lead time spare orders.

  • Mentoring Material & Demand Forecasting Team members in the use of Technical Information, Work as directed by the LSA Lead Engineer.

Required Qualifications (Experience/Education/Skills):

  • Essential to be able to obtain UK SC security clearance.

  • Logistic Support Analysis /Integrated Logistical Support related work experience.

  • (Spares Engineering) Provisioning experience.

  • Experience of Logistics Support Analysis with the use of a LSAR.

  • A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in engineering

Preferred Qualifications (Experience/Education/Skills):

  • An understanding of Support Engineering in the Military environment,

  • Proven ability to drive first time quality.

  • Experience of working with international support standards such as Def Stan 00-600, ASD/AIA Suite of S Series ILS Specifications.

  • An ability to read and interpret Aircraft Drawing sets and associated engineering artefacts,

  • Authoring of Support Product documentation.

  • Ability to work with the cross functional business stakeholders to identify optimisation opportunities.

  • Previous practical experience of Aircraft maintenance is highly desirable.
