The Production Leader is responsible for overseeing all assembly operations; including, pump assembly, (multiline, single/twin and progressive), and cord assembly. The position will monitor daily production and shipping schedules and ensure all completed products are prepared to design specifications. This position is also responsible to work collaboratively with all floor leads to ensure safety, effective operations and conflict resolution. Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for developing and implementing assembly operations safety standards. Is a standing member of the safety committee.
  • Prepares daily and weekly associate assignments to ensure quality, capability and ship schedules are being met.
  • Recommends and approve, with agreement of plant manager, associate planned absents, such as vacation, doctors' visits, other policy provided leaves.
  • Checks items to be shipped against work orders to ascertain that quantities, destination, and routing are correct.
  • Identifies concerns with product quality and planning schedules and brings these to the attention of the appropriate personnel.
  • Attends daily operations meeting, reporting on immediate and short-term concerns related to; attendance, quality, output, etc.
  • Conducts inspection audits of assembly operations observing for quality and accuracy to design drawings.
  • Arranges for training of new personnel or expanded training to more complex assemblies.
  • Collaborates with Looming and Shipping/Receiving Leaders to ensure product flow is meeting expected ship schedules.
  • Collects and audits daily production schedules for completeness. Identifies areas of performance concerns.
  • Follows established departmental policies, procedures, and objectives, continuous quality improvement objectives, and safety, environmental, and/or infection control standards.
  • Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements: High School Diploma or Equivalent. SAP experience is preferred.
