The University of Miami Health System, "UHealth", Information Technology Department has an exciting opportunity for a Full-time Senior Epic Pharmacist Analyst.
The Senior Epic Pharmacist Analyst provides oversight and leadership to Associate Epic Analysts and Epic Analysts on the team and advises the team in implementing, building, upgrading, and modifying complex applications and assists application team members with optimizing the application’s configuration, function, and access. The Senior Epic Pharmacist Analyst contributes to the team with day-to-day application support and resolving complex application issues. The Senior Epic Pharmacist Analyst analyses, implements and operates the computerized pharmacy information system and its relationship to pharmacy information management.
Core Responsibilities:
Aids with the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of the high level application and assists with all phases of testing and document workflow design.
Performs complex analysis of new releases and determines how they will impact workflow.
Identifies issues and works to resolve them.
Provides day-to-day application support, evaluating and resolving service tickets, implementing requested application changes, and retrieving requested data promptly.
Partners with trainers on application changes and new features to develop documentation and training strategies.
Participates in on-call rotations and support.
Maintains regular communication with team members and participates in weekly project team meetings.
Reviews the status of projects and issues on an ongoing basis with leadership.
Become knowledgeable about UHealth’s policies, procedures, and business operations
Adheres to University and unit-level policies and procedures and safeguards University assets.
Department Specific Functions:
Travel to the job site during go-lives, conferences, rounding, and/or senior leadership meetings.
Providing oversight and leadership to Associate Epic Analysts and Epic Analysts on the team
Initiating the implementation, build, and modification of the application
Collaborating with key stakeholders, end-users, and application team members to optimize the application’s configuration, function, and access
Supporting junior staff members in day-to-day operations and resolving application issues
Serve as a primary support contact for application end‐users
Initiate the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of the application
Initiate all phases of testing and the documentation of workflow design
Perform the analysis of information technology in clinical work processes and validate the impacts to the workflow
Initiate the identification of issues and guide the work to resolve them
Support junior staff members in the evaluation and resolution of service tickets, identification and implementation of application changes, retrieval of requested data, and execution of day-to-day operations
Collaborate with trainers on application changes and new features to develop documentation and training strategies
Work with stakeholders, business community, and end users to ensure the application meets UHealth's business/clinical needs
Attend and participate in applicable committees
Adhere to internal controls and reporting structure
Participate in on-call rotations
Maintain regular communication with team members, including participating in weekly project team meetings
Review the status of projects and issues on an ongoing basis with leadership

CORE QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy, preferred Doctor of Pharmacy Degree
Epic Willow Inpatient Certification required
RPh License
Minimum of 5 years of experience, preferably in healthcare or healthcare-related organization
At least 3 years of Epic build experience
Previous operational, project management, and organizational skills
Clinical knowledge of how various medications medication related inpatient/retail ordering should be ordered preferred
Familiarity with pharmacy workflows, including dispensing and clinical monitoring preferred
Automated dispensing cabinet experience (e.g., Pyxis, Omnicell, Accudose) preferred
Ability to accurately prepare and maintain records, files, reports, and correspondence.
Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written form.
Ability to analyze, organize, and prioritize work under pressure while meeting deadlines.
Ability and willingness to see things in an open-minded way and examine an idea or concept from as many angles as possible
Ability to work effectively with all levels of employees including senior leadership
