Description

Robert Half has partnered with a leading logistics in their search for a senior accountant. This role is 100% on-site in Downtown Miami.

Position Overview:

We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to oversee the financial operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for full-cycle month-end close, financial reporting, account reconciliation, audit preparation, and maintaining accurate financial records. Proficiency in NetSuite and advanced Excel skills are essential for this role.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform full-cycle month-end close activities, including journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations.

  • Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.

  • Conduct account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data.

  • Assist in the preparation for external audits, including providing supporting documentation and responding to auditor inquiries.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline financial processes and improve efficiency.

  • Utilize NetSuite and advanced Excel functions to analyze financial data and identify trends or discrepancies.

  • Ensure compliance with accounting principles and company policies and procedures.

    Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA certification preferred.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or finance roles, with a focus on full-cycle month-end close and financial reporting.

  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices, including GAAP.

  • Experience with NetSuite or similar ERP systems preferred.

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, vlookup, and complex formulas.

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.

  • Attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting and analysis.
