Univision’s Programming Research is one of the leading teams within the Univision Communications family. We support Programming and Scheduling, Creative Services, Media Planning, and our network of content creators. The Manager will be responsible for analyzing the linear performance of UCI’s portfolio with a focus on providing actionable insights and recommendations that will contribute to the success of the content and programming strategy. The person in this position will balance continued excellence in audience measurement to provide a deep understanding of our audiences’ behavior and the Hispanic market overall.

We are looking for someone who will be a thought leader, an effective communicator and a self-starter to work with Directors and Managers to drive the creation of strategic projects for the benefit of UCI’s portfolio.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Compile, analyze and interpret Nielsen ratings data for recurring and ad hoc requests

  • Manage high-level and detailed analyses, reports and presentations covering UCI and competitors

  • Synthesize ratings data from multiple sources to build a richer, more complete perspective of the issue or opportunity, and related implications

  • Position data in a creative and concise manner to communicate and make insights real for internal clients

  • Present content-based learnings to the production teams and partner with them as their audience experts

  • Contribute to roundtable discussions with key stakeholders

  • Utilize critical thinking to analyze industry dynamics in order to formulate robust and timely strategic research projects


  • The ideal candidate:

  • Is fascinated by digging into lots of data to uncover critical insights

  • Has a consultative mindset to really understand UCI’s strategic needs and design the right research approach

  • Is able to translate data into narratives and tailor presentations and recommendations to the audience.

  • Is a skilled collaborator who can build successful relationships with cross-functional internal teams and clients

  • Is passionate about television, both happenings in the industry and TV shows themselves


  • Bachelor's degree and 3+ years of analytical work experience (Master’s degree is a plus)

  • Strong analytical skills

  • Well-versed in Microsoft Office applications with significant experience working with Excel and PowerPoint; prior experience with any of the following software is a plus: Tableau, R, SPSS, SAS

  • Strong writing and presentation skills

  • Bilingual - Highly proficient in both English and Spanish (spoken and written)

  • Strong interpersonal skills

  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to work well under pressure, handle multiple projects and meet tight deadlines

  • Proficiency in analysis of Nielsen data and use of tools such as NNTV and NPower

  • Must be willing to work from offices in Miami, FL

  • Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States
