SUMMARY:

The Human Resources Manager will ensure that all Human Resources policies are followed and adhered to, including those from AAR as well as specific EEO, Department of Labor, and Affirmative Action policies.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Identify legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resources functions and ensures policies, procedures, and reporting are in compliance, i.e. Affirmative Action, EEO, Department of Labor.

  • Administer salary administration program to ensure effectiveness, compliance, and equity within organization.

  • Recruits, interviews, and selects employees to fill open positions at all levels.

  • Identify and coordinate job fair participation.

  • Manage Job Description maintenance program.

  • Manage the performance review process.

  • Coordinate management training in interviewing, hiring, terminations, promotions, performance review, affirmative action, and sexual harassment.

  • Advise management in appropriate resolution of employee relations issues.

  • Responds to inquiries regarding Human Resources policies, procedures, and programs.

  • Manage Unemployment program.

  • Review & develop policies and procedures as required.

  • Assist with projects and implementation of new programs.

  • All other duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organizations policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor of Arts degree (B.A.) or Bachelor of Science degree (B.S.) from four-year college or university; or eight years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
