CDR Maguire Contract Support Specialist in Miami, Florida

CDR Maguire Inc., a national multi-disciplinary engineering and emergency management consulting firm is seeking a Contract Support Specialist in the Miami, FL area. Individuals will assist our construction engineering inspection (CEI) team with project related responsibilities. Individuals will perform the following in this role:

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Assist in project-related duties (i.e., CQR/LIMS, progress and final estimates, EEO compliance, processing Construction Contract changes, etc.).

  • Exercise independent judgment in planning work details and making technical decisions related to the office aspects of the project.

  • Reads and comprehends contract documents.

  • Monitor construction progress to assure proper installation sequences and compliance with schedule and contract requirements and state and local regulations.

  • Comply with the department’s procedures covering project-related duties and be proficient in the computer programs necessary to perform these duties including: Microsoft Office, Multi-Line, Engineering Menu, and CTQP Final Estimates Level II course.

Requirements

  • High school diploma required. Bachelor's degree in a related field highly preferred.

  • Four (4) years of road and bridge construction engineering inspection experience having performed/assisted in project-related duties.

  • Experience with Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT/Turnpike) required.

  • Completion of the Final Estimates Preparation Seminar and CTQP Final Estimates Level II course preferred.

  • Ability to stay organized and meet tight deadlines.

  • Ability to plan and prioritize strategically.

  • Very strong interpersonal, communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.

  • Ability to effectively interact with a wide range of personnel.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.

  • Demonstrated ability to multitask with multiple high-priority demands in an intense, deadline-driven environment.
