BASIC PURPOSE: To offer students attending Central Pennsylvania Institute’s Natural Gas Compression Program a chance to work for an industry leader in Clean Energy and learn real world skills while building on the knowledge they have learned in the classroom.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Under one on one supervision the intern will assist with maintenance on hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical equipment installed at CNG stations

  • Assists with daily maintenance of site equipment

  • Monitors pressures and temperatures

  • Maintains oil and fluid levels

  • Responds to service calls as required

  • Other duties assigned as needed

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Education:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

  • Must be currently enrolled at Central Pennsylvania Institute (CPI) in the AST Natural Gas Compression program.

Experience:

  • Classroom learning experience in natural gas compression with a CAT/Ariel Emphasis

SKILLS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Skills:

  • Hard Skills: Working knowledge of Hazmat and OSHA regulations

  • Soft Skills: Good written and oral communication skills, data entry, team player, exceptional customer service, attention to detail, self-motivated, good time management skill, ability to multitask and excellent analytical skills

Typical Physical Demands:

  • Requires prolonged sitting, some bending and stooping.

  • Occasional lifting up to 25 pounds.

  • Manual dexterity sufficient to operate a computer keyboard and calculator.

  • Requires normal range of hearing and vision.
