Job Description for Assistant Professor of Clinical Pediatrics Clinical Psychology Division

Mailman Center for Child Development

Responsibilities:

  • Provision of clinical psychological services to children with various psychological and behavioral problems through the Division of Clinical Psychology's Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT) Program.

  • Serve as the Associate D irector of PCIT-CALM for children with anxiety, supervise staff , and provide clinical services .

  • Serve as the Associate Director of Team COACH and Project SEW. Activities will include the development of courses and trainings, facilitation of peer learning, project management, refine an online Guided Path to SEW (GPS) algorithm, and partner with the Children’s Trust and community agencies to co- develop a REDI-SEW evaluation framework.

  • Provide training and supervision of postdoctoral associates, staff, interns, and practicum students in PCIT , COACH, and SEW.

  • Serve as the psychologist with the Pediatric Pulmonology Division’s Sleep Program, collaborating to design and conduct behavioral protocols and research studies .

  • Participation in clinical research activities, including e.g . , collaboration on projects with other faculty, assisting with the design of projects and data collection, preparation of grant applications and manuscripts, and development and implementation of original research projects for which external funding is sought .

  • Participation in the psychology training program, including providing supervision of clinical psychology trainees, by giving lectures to trainees regarding psychological services for various clinical problems, and by participation in psychology faculty meetings regarding training program development and evaluation of trainees .

    Qualifications :

    APA-approved PhD in clinical psychology and clinical internship;

    Licensure (or license-eligible) in Florida ;

    Relevant clinical experience with children.
