About the role

We are looking for a highly motivated R&D Software Engineer to work on the Calibre engineering team in the Siemens EDA IC segment located in Grenoble, France. You will be part of a team responsible for designing, developing, and supporting the Calibre Parasitic Extraction software.

You will collaborate with a senior group of software engineers on production level quality of new components and algorithms, and support existing parasitic extraction related products.

Qualifications

We would love to hear from you if you have a MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.

You are proficient in C++ programming language and have the capability to dig into large existing software systems. On top of this, the following mostly resonates with your background:

  • 3+ years software development experience, ideally in EDA / parasitic extraction

  • Experience with large software development projects (code reviews, version management, unit tests, static/dynamic code checkers)

  • Proficiency in runtime and memory optimization, high-performance data structures and algorithms.

  • Knowledge of computational geometry, graph theory and optimization problems.

  • Experience with multithreaded and distributed programming.

  • IC CAD experience (DRC, LVS, extraction, simulation), exposure to digital design environments(ex : LEF/DEF formats, Place and Route, STA…) would be a big plus

  • Self-motivation, self-discipline, and the ability to set and work consistently towards personal goals

  • Ability to work/travel within an international, multi-discipline, organization around the world based on business needs (including but not exclusively: US, Armenia, Israel, Taiwan, Egypt).
